NY9205 : William Gill

taken 6 years ago, near to Water Crag [hill or Mountain], North Yorkshire, Great Britain

William Gill
William Gill
The upper part of the gill shortly before the track crosses the line of the Arkengarthdale to Tan Hill bridleway. Anyone venturing this way should be aware of the fact that the BW west towards Tan Hill is hardly visible for much of the way on the ground, and it is only the thought of beer at Tan Hill Inn which provides the incentive to flounder onwards across the bogs and not to give up and sink slowly into the mire.
