Paralympics GB athlete Paul Blake on a lap of honour
Paul Blake poses with a Union Jack for spectator photographs and applause. He was second in the men's 400 metre T36 final. The T3 classifications are for athletes with cerebral palsy, T31 to T34 race in wheelchairs. Watching the race you see elite athletes in close competition. It is only when you read about them afterwards that you realise it is a miracle that they are competing, and that their lives are devoted to training in just the same way as olympic athletes.
