In Miterdale Forest
Paths twist and turn through a variety of woodlands, from native broad-leaf trees, to conifers.

The Miterdale Forest is said to be home to red squirrels. Whilst I did not see any on this visit, the habitat is certainly right, and a visit in early morning, or late afternoon, would probably be more rewarding.
