Towards Bures
Towards Bures
The people of Sudbury and Bures must have had some serious clout in the 1960s to avoid this line being totally "Beechinged". It was reduced to single-line operation but there is an hourly shuttle between Sudbury and Marks Tey. The only downer is that when the East Anglian Railway Museum was set up in the 1960s they expected to inherit the line; as it is they can only shunt around in the goods yard.
