NX1032 : Port Mona

taken 6 years ago, 3 km from Cairngaan, Dumfries And Galloway, Great Britain

Port Mona
Port Mona
Weakness in the rocks here has resulted in a small bay developing with a shingle beach. The Port Mona Burn descends here, but it is soon lost in the tumbled boulders from the cliffs. The rock strata show some some steep folding, but it is not well displayed.
