Camp Hill Locks (new) No 54 near Sparkbrook, Birmingham
Lock No 54 is the third lock down of the Camp Hill flight. Here the canal has been rerouted and widened below the lock into a very wide curve (full winding hole facility) to allow the extensive building of the dual carriageway road interchange (A4540 and A45) off to the left. Consequently this lock has replaced the former one, which was on the original straight cut.

Travelling north towards from Bordesley Junction, the Camp Hill flight of six locks allows a fall of 41ft 8in* (127 metres) in about 760 metres.
