This byway is usually open to all traffic from April to October, but in the wet summer of 2012 four-wheeled vehicles were banned until further notice. Hugh Venables' TL6352 : Byway to Carlton and Willingham Green and TL6352 : Byway to Carlton and Willingham Green show how muddy and rutted it can become in winter, when only farm traffic and two-wheelers are allowed.
