Rags Hotel, Bar & Restaurant, South Pier, Bridlington
Rags Hotel, Bar & Restaurant on South Pier Bridlington. The building was originally built to house two RAF air sea rescue launches and was known as RAF Bridlington. The launches were regularly hauled up the slipway on huge yellow painted 4 wheeled cradles. Serial Number 1392 was the last RAF boat to leave Bridlington on December 8th 1980 to make way for the new air sea rescue helicopters still based at RAF Leconfield.
