Behind Starr Gate Tram Depot
Behind Starr Gate Tram Depot
Behind the new tram depot at Starr Gate is a garden area with benches. It seems to be used mainly as rest area for crew.
Starr Gate Tram Depot
The tram line from the Pleasure Beach to Starr Gate was closed in September 2009 to enable work to begin on upgrading the system. A new tram depot was built at Starr Gate to house modern trams which began operating on the line in 2012. Note: the term "tram sheds" is an obsolete expression. The existing facility at Rigby Road and the new one at Starr Gate, are referred to by both Blackpool Borough Council and Blackpool Transport Services as depots.
