SX7981 : Kelly Mine - processing plant

taken 6 years ago, near to Lustleigh, Devon, Great Britain

Kelly Mine - processing plant
Kelly Mine - processing plant
The building on the left is the miners' 'dry' and the large complex beyond is the processing building. A waterwheel is visible projecting above the roofline. The air is hazy due to the oil engine that is running in the building. This micaceous haematite mine is a real industrial archaeological gem and I keep asking why it took so long to get here.
