Mine spoil heap of Dolly Level
Mine spoil heap of Dolly Level
The Dolly Level is an old access into mine workings on the west side of Gunnerside Gill. The level opening itself is not visible in this image but the large spoil tip dominates. The bays seen at the top of the waste are bouseteams, where mined ore was stored before processing.
