NO0348 : Summit rocks, Deuchary Hill

taken 12 years ago, 3 km from Riechip, Perth And Kinross, Scotland

Summit rocks, Deuchary Hill
Summit rocks, Deuchary Hill
The maps give two heights for the hill: 510m at the trig point (visible in the gap) and 511m which is most likely the outcrop where Ali is standing. The rock has a most distinctive white quartz band. The summit is a fantastic viewpoint but minutes after this picture was taken clouds blotted out the sun and we were battered by a squall of rain and sleet - Scotland we love you!
