Roman Road
Roman Road
This former Roman Road is now a muddy path through fields. The picture shows 2 of the Middleton 'Sites of Meaning' stones which occur on every track or road entrance to the parish. The inscription on both of these stones is -'The road up and the road down are one and the same'.
