The church was built between 12th and 15th century, the earliest feature of which is the arcade of three Norman arches dating from 12th century to the north aisle.
West Tower with stone broach spire is 14th C. The original nave was reconstructed in the late 14th early 15th C., and the Chancel constructed in the mid 15th century. The ancient battlement wedding porch also dates from this period.
It has 2 fine 13th C. piscinas, one with oak leaves and acorns, although not in their original positions.
Font is 13th C octagonal. The pews, pulpit, desk, lectern and organ are all Victorian.
