New ambulance station and old anchor
New ambulance station and old anchor
The seafront station was built with the help of a number of sponsors. It was opened in 2003-4 and is operated by the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
The anchor is explained thus: "This anchor was trawled up by local fishermen off Start Point. It weighs approximately two tons, was hand forged and is estimated to be 300 years old."
