Cork (Kent) station 1971 - 4
CIE locomotives B150 & B167 about to depart from Cork (Kent) station with an express to Dublin. Double-heading was common on Cork - Dublin trains in the 1970s before arrival of the more powerful 071 class locomotives from General Motors (USA) in 1976. As no CIE locomotives were fitted for train heating, the first vehicle in the train is a small van equipped with an oil-fired steam boiler.
