SK8608 : The 'old' A606
near to Oakham, Rutland, Great Britain

The 'old' A606
This taken on the corner of Market Street, looking northwards up Oakham's High Street. This is the main through road in Oakham and used to also be the A606, before the 3 mile bypass was built and opened last week, hence the deserted road. The A606 now runs from Stamford, around Oakham and Barleythorpe, through Langham, Burton Lazars, Melton Mowbray, Ab Kettleby and onto Nottingham.
