taken 12 years ago, near to Guildford, Surrey, England

Debenhams and the Town Mill
Debenhams and the Town Mill
The side wall of Debenhams Department Store on the left contrast with the Town Mill in the background. The Town Mill dates from the 18th and 19th centuries. It was converted to water works in the 1890s, before being leased to the adjacent Yvonne Arnaud Theatre as a studio theatre and scenery storage. More recently a small hydro electricity facility has been installed, thus giving a link back to its original purpose. For a fuller history see LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) . For more details of the hydro project, see LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) . Grade II listed - see LinkExternal link.
