SX9473 : Teignmouth Museum, French Street

Teignmouth Museum, French Street
Teignmouth Museum, French Street
The new staircase tower of the rebuilt museum makes it more noticeable in a townscape dominated by the A379 dual carriageway and the station car park. The museum is full to the gunwales of extraordinary artefacts that tell the story of the town and its environs. The display on the wall, left, is shown in more detail in SX9473 : Three balls set in a wall. The museum is run by a trust, relying on sponsorship and modest admission charges. It looks as though the pedestrian ramp, right, has been relocated to create better access around the building. Another view is SX9473 : Teignmouth : An Anchor & Teignmouth Museum
