ST7968 : Fields on Bannerdown

taken 6 years ago, near to Northend, Bath And North East Somerset, Great Britain

Fields on Bannerdown.
Fields on Bannerdown.
Bannerdown is the hill that dominates Batheaston. This is the view down its eastern slopes which are entirely made up of pastureland. The farm visible in the left centre is Upper Shockerwick Farm. Beyond that is the valley of the By Brook leading to Box which can be seen on the far right. If you have very good eyesight and a bit of imagination you can just see the entrance to Box railway tunnel.
