SX9064 : Junction in Chelston

Junction in Chelston
Junction in Chelston
An absorbing road junction, but awkward to capture in full. Ashfield Road heads to the right; no sooner has Marcombe Road turned off it to the left, than Ruckamore Road turns left off that. A wide area of tarmac is one result. Out of sight on the left is Ashfield Gardens, which isn't a road at all - see SX9064 : Ashfield Gardens, Torquay. So close-packed are these roads in Chelston that many have just one row of houses between them; the houses on the north side of Ruckamore Road, for instance, back onto Marcombe Road, while the houses on the south side of Ruckamore Road are actually on Ashfield Gardens, if you see what I mean.
