taken 6 years ago, near to Howes [hill or Mountain], Cumbria, Great Britain

The col south of Selside Pike
The col south of Selside Pike
The col rejoices in the name of Captain Whelter Bog but we experienced no problems even after a very wet spell. Note the couple of walkers ascending the slope to the Pike. We only saw two other walkers today on these relatively unfrequented fells.
