Cliff slumping to the rear of the buildings means that the coast path has been diverted inland; it regains the cliff edge at the corner of the triangular wood above the pub, and then climbs to the dominating Golden Cap, the highest point on the southern coastal part of the South West Coast Path. Below Golden Cap are Wear Cliffs.
