Ullesthorpe Subscription Mill - external view
The tower mill on an October openday. The remains of the reefing stage can be seen around the middle. To the left is a pigsty and out of view behind the mill is a granary. Inside is most of the original early 1800s machinery, items like governors/tentering gear and dressers have gone.
The mill was built by subscription by the locals to provide flour to the poor. It was one of several of the same design in the area and now unique. It had a set of spring sails and common sails.
