Isolated Scots pine tree, Bratley View, New Forest
This twisted Scots pine is growing next to the Bratley View car park on Mogshade Hill. It is a much-photographed tree. One of its lower branches has recently been snapped and is now hanging from the tree (to the right of the trunk). There are also remains of fireworks next to the tree. Instances of litter and petty vandalism decreases the further you get from the public car parks - unfortunately for this tree it is right next to one.
