Grand Union Canal: Bridge Number 108: Nimrod Bridge
Nimrod Bridge carries the A425 Daventry to Southam road over the canal. Why this bridge is so called is not obvious but the 1887 Ordnance Survey map shows a linear building running down from the road to the canal, about 150 metres east of the bridge, called The Nimrod. Then by 1905 the OS were giving the bridge its present day name.
