Selsey Bill: sea defences and evidence of coastal erosion
Selsey Bill: sea defences and evidence of coastal erosion
Shot taken from the shingle-surfaced 'promenade', said to have been constructed in 1953. On the beach below is what was once a length of garden wall - belonging to the Bill House (which still stands LinkExternal link ). I was told by local people that the flagon-shaped columns, too, were once in the grounds of the house.

The Isle of Wight is just visible in the distance.
