NO1697 : The summit of Carn Liath

taken 20 years ago, near to Carn Liath [hill or Mountain], Aberdeenshire, Great Britain

The summit of Carn Liath
The summit of Carn Liath
The snowblasted plateau of Carn Liath. Nobody knows where the actual summit of this hill is, the OS have helpfully surveyed a variety of tops at 862m. Visiting them all in near blizzard conditions was fun. This hill is low by Monadh Ruadh standards, but still a brute in midwinter.
