SW3634 : Quartz - Feldspar Vein

taken 6 years ago, near to Trewellard, Cornwall, Great Britain

Quartz - Feldspar Vein
Quartz - Feldspar Vein
Along with the more common tourmaline chlorite quartz veins some quartz-felspathic veins can be seen, the crystals growing out from the edge of the fracture. The battery is in a vug where the typical quartz points can be seen (identified with a hexagonal circumference). The word vug originated in the area, the cornish word vooga translated to "cave."
