The 40ft statue here is called the Lady of the Stream and depicts a mother looking after her children (it has a face on the obverse side). It has, I believe, caused some outrage since its installation in 2010, not because it might be perceived as a questionable use of space or money, or is unsafe, but because some locals expressed a concern that its apparent resemblance to a particular body part might cause offence.
