This rather muddy field next to the church has some interesting humps and furrows, perhaps a bit wide for "ridge and furrow", and looked at from above it looks like marks of previous long thin enclosures.
The railway used to run along the left (north) side, as seen in photo TF4390 : Disused Railway Line, Salter Gate, Saltfleetby St Peter.
