Tramway at Haytor quarry
Tramway at Haytor quarry
The remains of the old tramway can be seen. Wagons left the quarry here and crossed a shallow combe, before joining with another branch and turning right to begin their descent to the River Teign. The route is now used by the Templer Way, commemorating the Templer family who built and profited from the quarries and the tramway.
