As we were contemplating how to cross this wet area we heard a noise behind us and turned to see about 20 ponies stampeding. They had been spooked by the farmer's quad bike; he had come to round up the cattle near Ditsworthy Warren House. The ponies just splashed their way through; thankfully we were standing to one side at the time.
