Former Reef System
Former Reef System
This quarry exposed a 330ma reef system. To the right is a paleocave. The mound in the limestone is a mix of crinoidal limestones and other reef builders like brachipods. This was at a time that this area was shallow tropical marine, further to the west came deeper waters and pelagic limestones.
