Upwards to the Belper Road, Higham
The course of the old Roman road Ryknield Street leaves the B6013 through Higham to follow the top part of this lane. The lane leads steeply down from the sandstone ridge to join Bumpmill Lane into the Amber Valley. The house to the left can be seen to be built on the exposed sandstone bedrock.
