Layhams Road passing Well Wood

Well Wood is to the left of Layhams Road here and the entrance to the car park for Well Wood is just on the left. Well Wood is on the edge of the Green Belt and is freely accessible. It is ancient woodland with oak, ash, hazel, yew, sweet chestnut, field maple, hawthorn, Douglas fir and larch. The wood anemones and carpets of bluebells are spectacular. Beyond the trees on the right are the fields of Wickham Court Farm.
