The Parcelforce depot is part of a large Royal Mail facility that covers an area of 11.6 hectares (28.6 acres). Apart from a sorting office there is a major supplies depot for the Royal Mail. Rowland Hill was a postal reformer credited with the invention of the postage stamp. More here: Link
