Derelict building, Saxmundham High Street
Derelict building, Saxmundham High Street
Once upon a time, maybe 20 years ago, this was Newson's butchers. It was never in good condition but after such a long period without occupation it is in a serious state of decay. Not a good thing right in the heart of the High Street. It now (October 2012) carries a Sold sign. Presumably it is to be demolished and something new built, though it is a very narrow site. I hope they keep a quirky bit over the entrance.

The road visible through the arch was the A12 until Saxmundham was by-passed.
