SU4104 : Stonyford Pond, Beaulieu Heath
near to Hill Top, Hampshire, Great Britain

Stonyford Pond, Beaulieu Heath
The western end of Stonyford Pond, which genuinely is a stony ford - a gravel track (visible coming in from top left) runs right through, and in dry weather, it can be walked across in wellies quite safely, while the rest of the pond's substrate is mud. (Caution, don't try this at home, and don't take my word for it).
