Coal Tit at Loch Garten Reserve

We were surprised at being approached by Coal Tits while eating our lunch at the RSPB's Loch Garten car park in late October. They were looking for anything edible which they could take away and hide for the approaching winter. We managed to find some nuts, which they cleaned up in no time. It's amazing that such tiny birds can survive this area's really cold winters.
