SH5560 : The western edge of the Cook pit

taken 11 years ago, near to Llanberis, Gwynedd, Great Britain

The western edge of the Cook pit
The western edge of the Cook pit
There is a sheer drop from this edge to the flooded bottom of the pit. The Cook pit has been divided in two by a later causeway, which is in SH5660. That causeway is partially lit by the sun in this photograph. Beyond it is the eastern Cook pit.
