SU5191 : Cooling towers at dusk

taken 11 years ago, near to Didcot, Oxfordshire, Great Britain

Cooling towers at dusk
Cooling towers at dusk
Irresistibly photogenic, the cooling towers at Didcot are an eyesore to many and draw the eye for miles around. The power station, largely coal-fired, was picketed during the miners' strike, and has been targeted by Greenpeace protesters as a major source of pollution.
Photographed from a stationary train waiting to enter Didcot rail station.
