TM4654 : The breached outer defences of the Martello tower

near to Aldeburgh, Suffolk, Great Britain

The breached outer defences of the Martello tower
The breached outer defences of the Martello tower
Formerly surrounded by a full circular wall and 'moat', this Martello's defences have been breached by the sea storms, to the extent that the seaward-facing outer part of the wall has gone, and shingle is spilling into the moat.
