3 km from Braemore, Highland, Great Britain

Cuileig Power Station Intake
A relatively recent addition to the hydroelectric power resourses in Scotland, Cuileig was completed by Scottish Hydro Electric and is a run-of-river scheme, with a small buried turbine powered by water taken directly from the Abhainn Cuileig, with no dam or reservoir. Apart from the roof of the small power station, this is all that's visible.
