Bishop Oak
Bishop Oak
This fine 18th century house (with later additions and repairs) LinkExternal link stands on the road from Wolsingham up to the Tunstall Reservoir. The three storey building on the right is a gazebo LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) (didn't know that gazebos could be that big!) dating from the same period.

Although I cannot find any specific reference, it seems likely that this house has some link with the Prince-Bishops of Durham who hunted on Wolsingham Park Moor just to the west.
