Town Clock, Villemomble Square
The clock was originally installed as part of the "Droylsden in Bloom" project in 2000. It was removed in 2010 when the square, which is named after Droylsden's twin-town in France, was closed and renovated during construction work for the Metrolink East Manchester Extension (Link
Tameside MBC press release). The clock was restored and re-erected in 2012 to commemorate the reopening of Villemomble Square.
The dedication on the base reads: To Commemorate The Official Re-opening of Villemomble Square by The Worshipful The Civic Mayor of Tameside Councillor Susan Quinn 22nd May 2012.
