Riverside sculpture at the Elan Valley Visitor Centre
Riverside sculpture at the Elan Valley Visitor Centre
This eye-catching and detailed sculpture commemorates the time Percy Bysshe Shelley sojourned in this valley in around 1810. He used the isolated, secluded upland valley to deeply contemplate sources of inspiration, muses and new subject matter. He is depicted here deep in thought and immersed in his ideas, surroundings and the spirit of this place. A passing rain squall has added to this piece.
