Oak, Canley Road
Early Ordnance Survey maps show the present Canley Road as part of an unnamed country lane leading from Hearsall Common to Canley and thence to the Kenilworth road. The construction of the A45 southern bypass in the late 1930s split the lane and housing development spread along it, with the northern part becoming Canley Road and the southern, Cannon Hill Road. The oaks remain as reminders of its rural origins.
