Poldark Mine - Reader steam engine
Poldark Mine - Reader steam engine
An E Reader of Nottingham inverted vertical (enclosed) single cylinder engine driving a Reavell gas compressor. This was used at the large ICI works at Billingham. This is quite a large example of the breed.

This museum site used to have a large collection of stationary steam engines but the majority have now been relocated.
