SK2087 : Hurkling Stones

taken 11 years ago, 4 km from Bamford, Derbyshire, Great Britain

Hurkling Stones
Hurkling Stones
I think 'Hurkling' means a group of stones drawn together which fits well with this site. However a solitary stone on White Edge Moor SK2677 is also known as the Hurkling Stone which does not fit the explanation!
In the background on this picture is Stanage Edge rising out of the snow.
